What is currently happening with Green Jobs in New Mexico?
In the Four Corners Region, Navajo Nation is working diligently to green the economy and stop new coal plants from being established in an area where three of the dirtiest coal plants in the nation already exist. The pollution from these plants impacts the health and safety of everyone in the region and new proposed plants pose a critical risk to future generations. New Energy Economy is teaming up with the Center for Contemporary Arts to create a Green Jobs documentary that will bring youth from around the state together to show that New Mexico is dedicated to creating a new clean economy with youth leading the effort! Leaders from around the state are currently working on a public-private partnership to ensure a sustainable economy for all New Mexicans. This partnership includes non-profits, local governments, state agencies, labor organizations, business and industry, educational institutions, community organizations, and others.
