What is Cryotherapy and what are the benefits?
The Cryotherapy (or cryosauna) device was developed in Germany, Japan and increasingly used in Europe over the last 10 years. The Cryosauna consists of a booth that is fillled with nitrogen and in the process cools the interior of the booth down to around -160°Celcius. The atmosphere that we breathe consists of 78.1% nitrogen, making it environmentally friendly and safe. By stepping into the cooled booth for up to two minutes, your skin is exposed to the extreme dry cold for a brief period that is too short a time to cool down the core temperature of your body. Because it is a completely dry cold, your body will experience a pleasant tingling sensation without discomfort. The body responds with a rapid increase of endorphins (feelgood hormones), also stimulating microcirculation.
