What is Cross-Institutional study?

0

Cross-Institutional study is when a student who is enrolled in a program of study at one University, enrols in courses or topics offered at another institution to count towards their degree at their home University. The ‘home institution’ is the University from which the student will eventually take out their degree. The institution at which cross enrolment in courses is sought is referred to as the ‘other institution’. If you wish to study a course offered at another University to count towards your University of Adelaide degree, you will first need to find out some information about the course offered at the other University. You will need information like the course name, catalogue number, the number of units it is worth (note: different universities have different systems for unit value), and a summary of the course content. All of this information can be found in the other institution’s Calendar or Handbook of Courses.
