What is cropping and why should I care?
Cropping is the process of trimming the outer portions of an image (1) to remove the portions of the scan which cover the slide/negative/photo edge/mount and/or (2) to size resulting image to a specific aspect ratio (e.g., 4″X6″). By default, we do not crop the full resolution TIFF images we provide to you. By default, we crop the slide/negative/photo edges from JPEG images, however.
