What is CPNI and why are forms required?
Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) includes information about the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of telecommunications or interconnected voice over Internet Protocol services purchased from Verizon Business. A ruling was created by the FCC to protect agencies proprietary network information. Anyone requesting access to the Networx portals for entitlements will have to be officially authorized, via the completion of CPNI forms by their agencies before we could approve their request. The CPNI forms are used to specify the Network Services contracts under which the users are authorized to place orders, agency hierarchy codes or billing account codes for which the user is authorized to place orders.
