Coving, also known as cornices; are plaster mouldings that are horizontally mounted around the top edges of rooms (see example). Coving / Cornices can vastly improve the quality and value of your home as well as acting as a decorative method of improving the design of your room. Coving is generally divided into five sections: Victorian coving, Georgian Coving, Cove and straight run coving, Modern and art Deco coving and Ornate and decorative coving. The style of plaster coving you choose will depend greatly on your room style and budget.
