What is covered under a warrantee?
A. Most quality manufacturers offer a warranty. A reasonable warranty covers a five to ten year period and is nontransferable should you decide to sell your piano. A typical warrantee will not cover tuning or action regulation, and may not extend to the finish. Pianos in dry climates should have an automated internal electric humidifier especially if they are constructed with solid wood otherwise cracking, splitting, warping or separating can occur. Pianos constructed with laminated wood are not as adversely affected. However, don’t forget that the internal operating parts are solid wood.
