What is covered on the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) test?
The TEAS test covers Reading, Math, Science, and English and it is recommended that you have college courses in these areas before attempting the TEAS test. The test consists of 170 questions with the breakdown as follows: • Reading: 40 questions • Paragraph Comprehension, Passage Comprehension, and Inferences & Conclusions. • Math: 45 questions • Whole Numbers, Fractions and Decimals, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Metric Conversions, Algebraic Application, and Data Interpretation. • Science: 30 questions • Scientific Reasoning, General Science, Life Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science, and Human Body Science. • English: 55 questions • Punctuation, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Contextual Words, and Spelling.
