WHAT IS COVERED ON THE DAT?
There are four examinations in a multiple-choice format included in the Dental Admission Test Program: Survey of Natural Sciences (Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry) Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, and Perceptual Ability. Successful performance on the DAT requires completion of at least one year of college education, which should include courses in biology, and general and organic chemistry. Physics is not covered on the DAT. Most applicants complete two or more years of college prior to taking the examination.
