Yes, you can hear distinct notes, they are NOT “one note hum buzzers!” The key to discernible and distinct notes is a fairly flat frequency response. Tactile transducers do have their rolloffs and resonances and are by no means perfect, more on this later, but they are far from being just one note bass tone generators.
