What is Cost of Attendance (also sometimes called Cost of Enrollment, or COE)?
Cost of Attendance (COA) is the total, average amount of money it will reasonably cost a student to attend OSU during one school year (fall and spring semesters). Students are grouped in Cost of Attendance categories based on: • Residency status (Is the student paying in-state OR out-of-state tuition?); • Type of academic program (Is the student an undergraduate, graduate OR Veterinary Medicine student?); • Housing status (Is the student living on/off campus or in fraternity/sorority housing OR with his/her parents?); and • Number of hours enrolled (Is the student full-time, 3/4 time, 1/2 time OR less than 1/2 time?).
