What is Coriolis Force?
The Coriolis force is an apparent force caused by motion relative to a rotating reference frame. The effect of Coriolis forces can be visualized in Foucault’s Pendulum. Coriolis forces also play an important role in large-scale meterological systems due to the rotation of the earth about its axis.
