What is coriolis effect?
The coriolis effect is the apparent deflection of the path of an object within a rotating field of coordinates. This can be easily visualized by imagining two people standing on opposite sides of a merry-go-round which is rotating. If one person attempts to throw a ball at the other aiming directly at them upon releasing the ball, the balls path will appear to “bend” so as to miss its intended target. In reality, its path does not bend, it is the rotation of the field of coordinates (in our example the merry-go-round) which simply makes it seem to bend.
