What is coretta scott king famous for beside being the wife of Dr.King?
She like her husband was an activist for Civil Rights. Some close to the King campaign say she helped her husband to write his speeches, after all she was a music, education major also. She was always with him and when possible, traveled with him during his speaking engagements and awards ceremonies. She helped to establish the day in which we celebrate and honor his birthday and contributions to our society. She constantly upheld, even after his death, the legacy and hope MLK wanted to leave to another generation. On a personal note, of all the women, white or black, who suffered tragedy of this sort, she is one who remained true, and faithful to her husband’s cause. You never heard of any other man, marriage, or illicit affair after the death of MLK. She devoted her life to a cause, a man, and the people.
