What is Copper.net HiSpeed?
Copper HiSpeed is a 56K dialup connection with a compression utility running on top of it. Basically, this means that you will connect to the Internet using your phone line, just as you would with any other 56K dialup service. The difference is, you will have the CopperHiSpeed program running as well, which connects to our server. Our server in turn compresses the data that is being sent to your computer, making a smaller amount to travel accross your dialup connection. The HiSpeed program on your computer then decompresses the information and displays it on your computer. This only affects the way your web pages load. It will not affect downloads, streaming media or instant messaging.
