What is Constitutions broad plan of development?
Constitution Mining’s aim is to develop gold production from the Gold Sands Project to 630,000 ounces of gold per year. The mining operation is scheduled to start in 2011 (year one) with a pilot-scale wheel suction dredger in tandem with an appropriately sized floating plant, as indicated in Figure 3. The expected a production rate is 48,000 ounces per year. The dredger will pull up wet sand and gravel, and the floating plant will process it to remove and capture the gold. In year two, a full-scale dredger and matching plant would be added with the capacity to dredge to a 20 meter (65 foot) depth. In year three, a similar sized but deeper-reaching dredger-and-plant tandem would be brought in, with a maximum dredge depth of 40 meters (131 feet).
