What is considered extensive leave? Who approves extensive leave?
Extensive leave is more than 24 hours of annual leave taken while in a TDY status. Leave must be annotated in block 17 of the DD Form 1351-2 (Travel Voucher or Sub voucher) when requesting reimbursement for the reduced per diem. Per diem will not be affected when sick leave is taken; however, per diem is not paid for full days of annual leave. EXTENSIVE ANNUAL LEAVE SHOULD NOT BE SCHEDULED DURING CPAC ROTATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. Annual leave requested in excess of 24 hours must be coordinated with and approved by the respective CPOC Deputy Director.
