What is considered as “immediate vicinity”?
The intent of the requirement is to ensure that the emergency stop button is readily accessible and within the room the spa is located in. A stop button located several metres from the spa would be considered accessible if there is no barrier, such as a wall to access it. The PHI would be able to assess a suitable location after an inspection assessment.
