The course must be approved by The Nevada Registry for the purpose of satisfying this requirement. Licensing currently accepts child development courses offered in a High School or at the Regional Technical Institute (in Washoe County). The Nevada Registry currently has two approved correspondence courses offered through “Care Courses” for students who are not able to complete the course at their High School; “Child Development and Guidance” and “Principles of Child Development and Learning”. Contact Care Courses at: (800) 685-7610 to enroll.
