The truth is, it is broken for undocumented and documented immigrants. It does not work for business owners or workers and allows for exploitation of immigrants. It tears apart families who just want to be together. True reform must respect the founding values of America and reflect who we believe we are as a country. Any true reform that seeks to fix the broken system comprehensively must: • Provide legalization and a path to citizenship: 10-12 million undocumented workers live in America today. These workers have come to fill necessary jobs. US government estimates that there is a 500,000 to 750,000 workers shortage annually in America.
