A worker is compensated under his/her employers workers compensation policy for: a personal injury arising out of or in the course of employment; a disease which was contracted by the worker in the course of employment and to which the employment was a contributing factor; and, the aggravation, acceleration, exacerbation or deterioration of any disease, where the employment was a contributing factor to the aggravation, acceleration, exacerbation or deterioration. It does not include dust diseases, which are the subject of other legislation.
