What is Community Planning?
There are two specific parts to the Community Planning process. The first part involves the community planning partners in an area (in Fife the partners are NHS Fife, Fife Council, Fife Constabulary, Fifes Higher and Further Learning sector, CVS Fife on behalf of the voluntary sector, Communities Scotland and Scottish Enterprise Fife) working together to deliver joined up services that meet the needs of the community. The second part of the process involves members of the community working together at ground level to influence the community planning process, making sure that service delivery does take into account the needs of communities. See our section on Community Planning and the Voluntary Sector for more information.
Community Planning is a process that allows a partnership between health departments and the community to discuss and provide advice to Region 6 AIDSNet office on the allocation and distribution of HIV prevention and care services in the regional service area. Our two community planning groups meet throughout the year to accomplish the related tasks of community planning.
