What is community engagement and community engaged research?
Community can be defined by geography, group affinity, profession, religion, age, gender, race and/or many other dimensions. Community engagement is a process in which permanent partnerships are established with the goal of benefit for all partners involved. Community engaged research is research in which all stakeholders have input in formulating a research question, designing and carrying out a project, and disseminating results.
