What is Communicator Web Access (CWA) and how can I use it?
If you have a UniCom account, you can access a limited set of functions over the Internet via Communicator Web Access (CWA). At this time, you can use it to initiate IM messages. Currently, CWA does not allow you to answer or make calls from within the web interface. However, you can redirect an incoming call to another number, such as your mobile or home number. You can also manage contact information, such as adding or changing your personal phone numbers or searching for contacts. The calling features are slated for a future version of CWA. To access CWA: • Go to: https://www.unicom.iu.edu/ • If prompted, change your pop-up blocker settings to allow pop-ups from this site. You may need to refresh your browser after doing so. • Under “Sign In”, in the first space, type ads\username , replacing username with your Network ID username. Type your Network ID passphrase in the second space and press Enter or Return, or click Sign In.
