What is common between Tibetan culture and Christianity?
Although Buddhism and Christianity are not the same, there is much that is common between attitudes in Tibetan culture and Christianity. For example, in Europe and America, the Bibles advice is ignored and children are often disobedient to their parents. But the Christian Bible teaches people to love your father and your mother, just as Tibetans honour older people. Likewise, as in Tibet, pride is heavily criticised in the Bible: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.[4] Christianity teaches about compassion, especially through the example of the Saviour Jesus. This was demonstrated through his actions: Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.[5] When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.[6] (and afterwards he multiplied a small quantity of food to feed these hungry people).
