What is comb honey and can you actually eat the wax comb?
Comb honey is simply honey that is left where the bees put it – in the natural honeycomb. The beeswax comb is perfectly edible and is reported to aid in digestion and even help lower cholesterol. One of our most popular items is a slab of comb honey with extracted honey poured over it. It’s called chunk honey. The extractor which spins the honey out of the comb has only been around a little over 100 years. Prior to that, comb honey was the only way it was available.
