What is Colonial Days for 5th Grade Students All About?
The fifth grade Colonial Day celebration is when 5th graders have an in-school field trip (multi-purpose room)back to the colonial era. During this special day celebration, the fifth graders can dress up like real colonial students from the past. The fifth grade teachers and parent helpers provide fun educational activities that allow students to experience activities that student in the colonial days did. Students even have an opportunity to eat and try foods like; dried fruit, cornbread, beef jerky, butter and jelly. The celebration lasts from 8:45- 10:30 and students are encouraged to dress like authentic colonial students during this special event. It’s a wonderful day in Colonial Times!
