WHAT IS COLLEGE TECH PREP AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGIES?

0

The Automotive Technologies (Auto Tech) program is a two-year course of study for students interested in pursuing a career in the automotive service and repair industry as a mechanical repair technician, collision repair technician or in related career paths. During the junior year, students will learn basic skills that can be applied to both mechanical and collision repair trade areas. This is due to a restructuring of the curriculum several years ago that reflects the increased mechanical skills that collision repair technicians need to work on today’s sophisticated vehicles. During the senior year, students will learn more advanced skills and will have the opportunity for Early Placement. Starting in the 2003 – 2004 school year, we partnered with Stark State College as a Tech-Prep program. Tech-Prep combines college prep course work with practical skills training in the automotive repair trades. Students who participate in this option will have the opportunity to earn college credit
