What is Collaboration Sourcing?
Collaboration Sourcing (TM) refers to a process whereby people of different languages, cultures, experiences and abilities – from all parts of the world – organize themselves around a set of web-based tools to address matters of importance through structured dialogues and collaborative teamwork. As opposed to the more commonly used term “crowdsourcing”, which refers to the process whereby a task is outsourced to an undefined group of people or community through an open call (usually with the objective of obtaining talent or capacity at the lowest possible cost), Collaboration Sourcing denotes the coming together of highly educated volunteers who offer their knowledge, skills, and time in the name of creating a better world. While with crowdsourcing specific results are usually anticipated, they are not expected with Collaboration Sourcing; instead, the process itself – which seeks out the widest possible assembly of talent and resources – ultimately determines the highest possible outc
