What is Coffee Syrup?
So, you have heard of coffee syrup but you aren’t quite sure what it is, right? You are probably wondering how coffee would go on pancakes, but this isn’t at all the right image! Coffee syrup is sort of like chocolate syrup that you would use to make chocolate milk or put on ice cream, but it has the distinct flavor of coffee. This syrup is often used to make coffee milk, which is simply milk with this syrup in it making a delicious drink! This is the syrup that is usually used in most coffee cabinets or vending machines. Coffee syrup has been around for a long time and has been in use since the 1930’s. The syrup was offered in drug stores and was used when it was mixed with left over coffee grounds, sugar, and milk, which is now known as coffee milk. The odd thing was, the syrup was originally marketed toward younger people, children even, who liked to drink the syrup in milk while their parents enjoyed their traditional cup of hot coffee!
