What is CoCo Key Water Resorts policy on inclement weather?
Your family’s safety is our first priority! As a result we follow specific guidelines with regards to inclement weather. During all severe weather, some or all attractions may cease operation temporarily. During all storms in which lightning is present within a 5 mile radius, ALL bodies of water will be closed. When lightning is present within a 10 mile radius, outdoor attractions will be closed. During a Tornado Watch, Management may decide to close outdoor attractions as necessary. When Douglas County is under a Tornado Warning the entire Water Resort will be cleared and all guests will be advised to take proper precautions regarding tornado safety. Minors without a parent present will be required to take shelter as deemed appropriate by Water Resort Management. In the event that some or all attractions are temporarily shut down for inclement weather, CoCo Key will make every effort to re-open attractions as soon as conditions permit safe operation.
