What is “Coblation” sinus surgery?
Coblation involves the production of a plasma field, only a couple of millimeters in size, at the tip of an instrument that looks similar to a pencil. This powerful plasma field dissolves away nasal polyps under a slow, steady stream of water in a relatively bloodless fashion. Like Balloon Sinuplasty, Coblation is a newer technique, with limited applications.
