What is CMMI process?
Capability Maturity Model Intergration: it is a way to measure your processes to see how mature they are. A lot of the companies we deal with will publish the details of an assesment, so that we can gauge the level of maturity before we decide to work with them. We are looking for consitancy in their method of work. Process are ranked 1 to 5 with 1 being no process and 5 being optimised. A company might even include these as KGI/KPIs where they might target a CMMI of say 4 across the company. There is a lot of detail about CMMI on the internet, just google or check out Amazon, as there are plenty of books.
