What is classification of Labrador Retriever?
As Charlotte said, they are a sporting breed. Initially they were used to work with fishermen, collecting fish that fell out of the fish nets, also as retrieving water birds. Labradors have been used as military dog because of their strong sense of smell that allows them to detect buried mines. In these days because they are stable and calm, Labradors can be used as guard dogs, gundogs and domestic pets. They are hardworking and very patient.
