What is Claremont McKenna College doing with wireless?

0

Information Technology Services are now deploying wireless LAN technology to help augment our traditional wired LAN. Wireless LAN networking offers students, faculty, and staff the ability to gain access to CMC’s Internal Wireless Network, The Claremont Colleges CINE network, and the Internet without being tied to a LAN port in an office, dorm room, or classroom. Network access will now be available in places where it was prohibitive to install wired connections. This new connectivity makes it easy for people with laptops to move around their building with ease while staying connected to the network.
