What is CIIs position on affir- mative action in private sector?
We have already said that making job reservation mandatory in the private sector will not serve the purpose. Law is not the means to achieve it, and filling up a minimum number will not serve any objective. CII, on its part, has set up a task force under the guidance of J J Irani which will submit its report by June-end.
