What is CIAPS Endorsement?
After becoming CIAPS ‘Accredited’, companies may wish to demonstrate an additional or high level competency in one or all of the Construction Commitments disciplines e.g. Procurement and Integration. It is anticipated that in most cases companies will have undertaken detailed training in these disciplines before seeking the endorsement certification, however, if the company believes training is not necessary then the facility exists for the company to go forward for endorsement certification bypassing the accredited stage. Where the company follows the training programme, it is usual to give itself time to ‘bed in’ what has been learnt by deferring inspection until the next certification anniversary. However, if it so wishes, it is possible for a company to seek endorsement certification for some or all of the elements before their next renewal inspection.
