What is Child Rights Law all about?
It provides for the survival, development and protection of the children. Aside from child theft, there are lots of things that could happen to the children if they are being exposed. They can be raped, knocked down by a moving vehicle and anything can happen to such a child. We are also of the opinion that unregistered day-care centres and hospitals are some of the places where these evils are perpetrated. Some people under the pretence of being a non-governmental organisation (NGO) try to get young girls, who are pregnant to their side, feed and house them so that when these girls now have their babies, such will now be sold. This is the information we got and we are working with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development so as to set out a modality how to commence raid on these people.
