What is changing for the FSA plans in 2011?

The new Health Care Reform Law changed the rules on the over-the-counter medications. Beginning January 1, 2011 plan participants can no longer buy over-the-counter medications or drugs and submit the expenses for reimbursements. Two important exceptions apply: • You have obtained a valid physician’s prescription for that particular medication prior to it’s purchase, or • the drug or medication is insulin. Please refer to the Open Enrollment website for additional information.
