A fair price and care for the environment Fair Trade empowers coffee farming families around the world to take care of themselves without developing dependency on foreign aid. Families farming these coffees receive fair prices for harvests, which means reasonable wages, better healthcare and schools for the children. Fair Trade families also benefit from training in organic farming techniques, with crops grown free of pesticides and chemicals. Shade Grown, another facet of organic coffee farming, is more time-consuming but saves trees and is bird-friendly; all of which is extremely friendly to the environment and to our own wellbeing. Our assortment of organic, specialty-grade coffee is officially Fair Trade Certified by TransFair USA, an independent non-profit organization that monitors and certifies Fair Trade Products in the United States.
