Cerezyme is an enzyme used to replace a deficiency in persons with Gaucher s disease. The medication improves symptoms and reduces complications of the disease. How To Use Cerezyme Cerezyme is given by injection into a vein over a 1 to 2 hour period. The frequency of dosing is based on your condition and response to treatment. Dosing may be as often as 3 times per week or as little as once every 2 weeks. Follow your doctor s directions carefully. Cerezyme Side Effects Cerezyme may cause headache, nausea, stomach upset or dizziness. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. An allergic reaction to Cerezyme is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
