Facial cellulitis or cellulitis of the face is one of the types of cellulitis infection. It is commonly caused by bacteria already present in the skin that has been given the chance to enter into the deeper layers through a cut, wound, scratch or other skin breaks. It is always better to prevent than to cure so make sure to keep your face clean especially if you accidentally scratched it or if the skin breaks unexpectedly due to external causes. Common symptoms are tenderness in the infected area, swelling, redness and a slight increase in temperature.
