Whenever a technologist fails to report the required number of continuing education credits required to maintain their registry status the ARRT may place that individual on CE probation. This is a category that allows the radiographer to remain registered, but documents their need to comply with the education requirement. If you are currently on CE probation you should prepare for the NEW requirement that went into effect January 1, 2008. The following is taken from the Annual Report to Registered Technologists May 2007. “Starting January 1, 2008 registrants who fail to comply with the biennium requirements will still be placed on probation. But under the new rules, they will be required to complete and report to the ARRT within the next six months the CE credit they were lacking and to pay a $50 administration fee. They will remain registered during the six months, provided their application for renewal is received by the end of the birth month and they meet all other eligibility requ
