What is CDM?
CDM stands for the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007. These regulations apply to all construction projects, although not every project is notifiable. They aim to ensure that all projects are planned with the full participation of everyone involved to bring safety to the fore – at all stages of the its lifecycle – from design to the eventual demolition of the finished structure.
Ans. CDM means Clean Development Mechanism. In 1997 Quoto Protocol was signed by most of the countries of the world. This was for saving earth from global warming. The projects or companies who are reducing pollution can get benefit of carbon credit. e.g. biodisel plants, solar energy plants, wind energy plants, biomass- co-generation plants, etc.
