What is CCV or CVV2 Code (aka Credit Card Security code)?

0

The Security code (CCV – Card Code Verification or CIC – Card Identification Code) is the last three digits of the code on the back signature line of a Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card. It is also the 4 digit code on the front of an American Express Card. This code is required to make an online purchase. This code tells our bank that you have the card in your possession as it is verified with the processing center as a form of fraud protection.
