What is CBI and what is its purpose?
CBI stands for Career Based Intervention program and is sponsored jointly by the Ohio Department of Education and the Knox County Career Center. CBI programs assist “at-risk” students in earning credits (especially on the high school level) so that they can graduate form high school and go on to satisfying and fulfilling jobs and careers. CBI targets young people in grades 7-12 providing them with meaningful academic classes and opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of paid and non-paid career related learning experiences.
