What is causing my left hand to be numb, tingly, and weak?

Recently I’ve noticed that I am having a difficult time with my left hand. It has become quite numb and tingly (particularly in my pinky and ring finger), and occasionally hurts when I make a fist. I’ve also noticed that it has become rather weak as well. I am having a difficult time typing, opening clothes pins, latchinghooks on garments, etc., etc., because it feels so weak. On a side note which may be related, I have had juvenile onset diabetes for 20 years now, but I have not experienced any problems with neuropathy in my legs or feet. Also, the numbness and tingling has happened before (although the weakness is a new thing), but it usually goes away within a day or so. This has been going on for about a week now. Thanks! A: the best answer i could give is poor blood circulation in your left hand, and it would probably be a good thing to get it checked out because it also is a sign people get right before a stroke or heart attack!
