What is Category Editing?
The role of a Category Editor is to assign the best category and subcategory from our taxonomy for the title presented. The category of a Demand Media title is critically important for several reasons. Categories determine how we distribute content to appropriate destinations, how we match creators with relevant assignments, and how we program many of our sites. For these and other reasons, every title we create at Demand Media must have an accurate category.
