What is Carrier Pre-Select (CPS)?

A. CPS is where your calls are routed over another company’s network and you will be charged separately for them. For CPS, you must have your line rental with BT. You will receive two bills, one for your calls and one for your line rental.

Carrier Pre-Select (CPS) is a service that allows you to use a voice carrier alternative to BT for outbound telephone calls without having to dial a prefix or install any special equipment at your premises. The lines and their maintenance are still provided by BT (in order to use the services you need to be a BT customer), whilst your calls are routed through one of our recommended national voice carriers.
