What is Cambridge in America (CAm)?
Cambridge in America, or CAm for short, is the alumni, development and communications center for the American constituents of Cambridge University and its thirty-one member Colleges. It was formed in 2000 through the merger of two predecessor organizations, the American Friends of Cambridge University (AFCU), founded in the 1960’s, and the Cambridge University Development Office in the U.S. (CUDOUS). CAm is also a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization (recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service) which funds grants that benefit Cambridge University and its constituent Colleges.
